Distance learning is when students are educate without in person interaction from teachers or peers. Online learning means that the resources are accessible from the internet. They are not the same thing because typically distance learning is done from home and online learning is used a lot in the classroom to introduce a lesson or save teachers time. I learned that distance learning relies on online learning even though they are not the same. To be able to learn from a distance, students use online course to accomplish their tasks. Distance learning is worldwide and can be very affordable for students to enroll in. The resource I found said that "Bernadette started using Business&ITCenter21 for her computer applications and business finance courses. She immediately took to it because of its pre-made quizzes and automated grading." So this tool helps save time out of class grading and planning. Teachers do not need a lot of knowledge to use online or distance learning because usually the online course has all the information they need.
