Learning analytics

Learning analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of data about learners and their contexts. Learning analytics tell us when students access certain resources and how they used the online resources. By looking at students past data on computers, researchers are now able to predict how they will perform in the future. Teachers can benefit from learning analytics by producing well rounded and thoughtful students. Spreadsheets help teachers organize their data so their grades and work are easily accessible. They can be used for things like keeping grades, attendance, and other records written down and organized. As a teacher I think I can benefit from learning analytics by using them in my classroom to stay organized and make sure my students are on track with their goals.
