I have never had twitter account until this class so I really only use it to interact with my classmates and to follow other educators and see what they are posting about that I find interesting or that relates to the class. I do not think I will ever use twitter in my future career because I feel like I wouldn't check my account regularly or rely on it for information because there are better sources than that.
The digital divide greatly affects student success in schools because some students cannot access the resources needed to complete assignments. Out generation in so technologically advanced that literally everything is online now and without access to technology or internet on a regular basis students will fall behind. When i become a teacher there may be a time when a student does not have access to a computer and I will try to give them as many resources at school as I can to help them complete their assignments. As a teacher, I will also try to make sure to create assignments that can be done with or without a computer.
In my classroom I will [probably use the Kahoot software to quiz my students on what they have learned recently. Kahoot keeps students interested while also making sure they are learning the material. Another software I will use is Remind. This app allows you to send texts to students or parents to remind them of assignments or upcoming dates that they need to remember.
This is such a great blog post! Sometimes I can't check my Twitter, sometimes I do. That's totally fine! I am with you that there are better/other resources, as well. I like how you plan to use Kahoot as a future teacher! Remind also sounds interesting. :)
