In this webinar three teachers from around the country got on a web call together to talk about student creativity in the classroom. I learned that to keep students minds activated they need to be stimulated at school and at home. I also learned that creativity comes best when there are not a lot of boundaries or barriers so the students can think broadly without limitations.
I took notes on how the different teachers bounced ideas off of each other and compared their own personal experiences. For example, they talk about storytelling for a section of the webinar and they describe how storytelling is a good start to students using a creative mindset to make a story their own. They also mentioned that it's hard to have a class be creative but qlso be structured so they are reaching certain standards but their solution to this is that you make every task you can more creative than sitting at a desk taking notes. Keep the students involved and actively participating to share ideas and creations.
